The AeroPress combines several brew methods, and is incredibly easy and fast to brew a distinct and flavourful cup of coffee. Like any brew method, the AeroPress allows for experimentation to suit your taste preferences. Let taste be your guide.


You will need:
  • AeroPress
  • AeroPress filter paper
  • Beans weighed & freshly ground for Aeropress (20g)
  • 200g freshly boiled filtered water
  • Stirrer/Spoon
  • Scales
  • Timer
  • Cup for serving
The Method:
  1. Measure and grind 20g of coffee to a consistency similar to table salt
  2. Place filter in the cap and rinse with boiled water to also preheat cup
  3. Attached plunger to base with 1cm to spare
  4. Invert Aeropress and fill with ground coffee
  5. Pour 200g of water then stir grounds with a spoon for 30 seconds
  6. wait until 1:30min and attach cap
  7. Flip AeroPress carefully onto mug and press
  8. press should take 20-25 seconds, Total Time 2:00mins
  9. Stop when you hear air escaping
  10. add 80g of water to dilute
  11. dispose of spent grounds and enjoying your coffee
  12. Coffee grounds are great in your garden rather than the trash
